As the race cars set up at the starting line, each and every driver feels the adrenaline rush of waiting for the green flag to wave. As the awaited moment finally comes, the cars speed off like 4-year-olds after an ice cream truck. The crowd screams as their favorite car takes off. NASCAR is fun to watch, but is this activity really a sport?

In one mighty leap, Griffin clears the car and smashes down the official Sprite Slam Dunk Contest ball that teammate Baron Davis alley-oops to him through the open sunroof. What a dunk! More »

Even though I’m on a run of three straight football columns, I’d almost feel like my time writing for SI KIDS would be incomplete if I didn’t do my yearly draft column. The NFL Draft combines wild exaggeration, hypothetical scenarios, and Chris Berman into one huge event, and naturally I couldn’t miss writing about it.
