Crabtree and Davis: 49ers' New Firepower 2

Led by legendary coach Bill Walsh, the San Francisco 49ers of the 1980s were the NFL’s home for dynamic offense. Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, and Roger Craig utilized the innovative West Coast Offense to revolutionize the art of scoring points. In 1994, new head coach George Seifert won Super Bowl XXIX with the lethal combination of Jerry Rice and Steve Young. 

Now in 2009, the 49ers have perhaps found a new arsenal of aerial weapons, spearheaded by rookie wide receiver Michael Crabtree and offensive captain and multi-talented tight end Vernon Davis.

A Solid Start for the Celtics 6

It’s a good sign for the Boston sports nation. In Tuesday night’s opener, the Celtics beat the eager Cleveland Cavaliers 95-89. 

But the Cleveland fans of the world shouldn’t be too afraid, the King was back out on the court and looked better then ever with 38 points. The game had a mix of good and bad plays, but ultimately it was an exciting game that kept me very anxious.

My October Night at Yankee Stadium 3

“Enter Sandman”, the hit song by Metallica, roared through the ears of the 50,173 fans that packed into Yankee Stadium last night for Game 6 of the ALCS. 

Every Yankee fan knew what this meant: it was time for Mariano Rivera, considered by some to be the best relief pitcher in history, to do what he does best.

Actually, last night, from the first pitch around 8:00 ET, every Yankee seemed to do what they do best: win. I was lucky enough to witness another great victory in New York, first hand from the new Yankee Stadium.
