City Builder for the Nintendo Wii is a game in which you have to lay pieces
of road over a playfield grid. The object of the game is to connect the
starting point to the end point. After a while, a car will start driving on
the road and you must finish building the road before the car gets to the
end. You have a selection of five pieces that you can use, and can shuffle
for new ones if you can’t find a good part. Just be careful not to shuffle
too much because you may lose the piece you were looking for. This game is
pretty similar to the popular SimCity series...
Get excited, people. Get very excited.
When 2K Sports announced that they were putting His Royal Airness on the box cover of their upcoming iteration of NBA 2K, the staff in the SI Kids office was so excited that we stood up out of our desk chairs, let our tongues hang out Jordan-style, and involuntarily did "the wave."
Hall of famer and all-time great Michael Jordan, a.k.a. Number 23, graces this year's cover, representing a departure for a series that historically has only put current phenoms--Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, Chris Paul, etc.--on the front of the box. And we have to say: This box cover looks awesome.

Summer is definitely a terrific time to get outdoors, do a little swimming, maybe build a fort or catch a bug in a jar. (Pro Tip: Just be sure to make holes in the top of the jar. The Sports Gamer learned this lesson the hard way.) Backyard Sports: Sandlot Sluggers is a great game for younger audiences who are avid baseball fans or for newcomers who want to get a feel for how baseball is played.
I would like to start off by saying that the game’s graphics surprised me (in a good way). Also, the controls are easy to use, and the game has one of the best control layouts I have seen in quite awhile. Anyone can pick up this game, learn the controls, and begin to play in a matter of minutes.

There are two things I really like about FIFA World Cup. First, I like the graphics, because the players in the game look so real. It's almost like you're watching a real soccer game on TV. Second, the players show their emotions. For example, if your player commits a foul you can see him getting mad...

With new versions of b-ball games being pumped out every 12 months, sometimes it's hard to keep all of the annual releases straight in your head.
The truth is, if you want to distinguish yourself, you've got to do something special. That's what 2K Sports did this year--something very special. 2K is going the nostalgic route this year by taking one of the greatest athletes of all time and putting him on the cover of their game: Michael Jordan.

Monster Hunter Tri certainly is a very different gaming experience. But, for me, it was not a very good one. The most disappointing aspect of this game is the controls. I was using the classic controller, and every step required some weird confusing button combination or some awkward activity. And, when I finally thought I had the controls figured out, I discovered that half of the time they still were not operating the way I thought they were supposed to.
