As I said yesterday, Nintendo chose SIKIDS.com to reveal each and every one of the characters that you can play as in Mario Sports Mix (out in stores February 7th). Today, we have three more to unveil! And don't forget to check back again, as we'll be revealing three new characters each day for the rest of the week. Keep reading to see today's new trio!
Winter blues got you down? No worries. Mario--yes, THAT Mario (seriously, what other Mario is there?)--will bring his patented "HooHOO" sound to an all new sports-centric party game called Mario Sports Mix. That means Mario is bringing all of his friends along to compete in a wide range of sporting events that you've never seen them play before. Cool, right? Even cooler, we have exclusive pictures and key stats for all of the game's characters and we'll be revealing them all week! Keep reading to see the first three characters...
Based on the hit NBC game show comes an exciting new game. Just like the game show with Guy Fieri, in Minute to Win It there are ten nerve-wracking challenges and you have one minute to complete each one. Since they’re pretty hard, you have three lives in case you mess up. For every challenge you complete, you earn money, ultimately competing for one million dollars! Of course it’s not as easy as it sounds. After every round you complete you can decide to keep going and risk it all or keep your money and go. Using the money you earn you can upgrade your avatar with fancy new threads, new hairstyles and more! You can play solo or with up to three friends.
Deca Sports 3 is about playing some awesome games with family and friends, getting yourself active, and having fun. It has 10 great games to play: air racing, fencing racquetball, giant slalom, lacrosse, half pipe, volleyball, kayak slalom, springboard diving, and log cutting. There is a mixture of outdoor and indoor sports. Every game can be played from 1-4 players. When I first played volleyball, surprisingly I was evenly matched with the computer.
Video games, when you really break them down, are just a series of moments. Most of the time, games are fun--duh, that's why we play them, right? But every now and then, something truly special takes place while you're playing a game. Something will happen--a moment--that you'll think about long after you power off your gaming console for the night.
Here are my top 10 must-experience gaming moments of 2010:
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is by far the greatest racing game created of its genre. When switching to new developer Criterion, many people had doubts about whether they could create a Need for Speed game with the same intensity as their Burnout series. It is safe to say that they have succeeded in all aspects.
