Are you looking for a new PS3 game but can’t decide on one? Well, look no further because Cars 2 the video game, like the movie is fantastic. And don’t worry if you haven’t seen the movie yet, the game doesn’t spoil the plot. Whether you’re a big fan of Lightning McQueen and friends or just like racing games this is an amazing game because it is so much more than just a racing game.

Cars 2 is the newest video game installment in the Cars franchise and, obviously, ties in with the movie, Cars 2. The game takes on a whole new approach, breaking away from a strictly kids-oriented game, to creating a toned-down kids version of the popular racing game “Blur.” In all honesty, this probably was a great move, as people of all ages, not just kids anymore, will be interested in the game.

The plug was pulled, the lights were shut down, and the miles of overly thick, ankle-twisting convention carpeting--why does every convention have this kind of carpeting?--was rolled up and stored away until next year.
Yes, it was another terrific E3--one of the best and brightest we've had in years. Despite some of the unfortunate news that has surrounded the industry lately, with development teams getting smaller and franchises, like EA's NBA Live being M.I.A. (for now), everyone was still in a terrific mood, and ready to get their game on.
I've got a few awards I'd like to hand out. Without further adieu, here are the Sports Gamer's Awards for E3 2011.
The Sports Gamer was fortunate enough to catch not one but two glimpses of the sequel to one of the sports games of the year last year: NBA 2K12 from 2K Sports.
The first peek was during the Sony press conference on Monday night when Kobe Bryant took the stage to demonstrate how the PS3 version of the game will feature Move functionality. Kobe used the Move controller to pass the ball around from player to player, though exactly how he was doing so wasn't clear. (The Sports Gamer was literally in the nose bleed seats in the Los Angeles Coliseum, which is not a small venue, to say the least.)
The second peek was much more up close and personal. It was inside the 2K booth on the show floor, in a private room that was decorated to look like the greatest man cave on earth. (Jerseys hanging on the wall, including a Boston Bruins jersey; framed photos of great basketballers; 70-inch TV, etc.)
Cars 2 is set to be one of the biggest movies of the summer, and the video game looks to be just as awesome! How do I know? Just watch the trailer below. You'll see new gameplay footage and get a quick introduction to the C.H.R.O.M.E. spy academy. Check it out!

It's official: Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis will appear on the box cover of this year's Madden (due in stores on August 30th). He's only the fourth running back to appear on the cover in Madden history. And he got there because you put him there.
Picked up a copy of MLB '11: The Show for the PlayStation 3? It's a fantastic game, as I explained in detail in this month's issue of SI Kids. The gameplay is incredible, the graphics look photo-realistic and every stadium is rendered down to the last crushed peanut shell. But what you might not know is that the game also has three not-so-obvious, incredibly cool add-ons that make this one of the most unique baseball games yet. Keep reading to find out what they are!
