With the Super Bowl only a couple of days away now--the Sports Gamer is already preparing a big vat of chili--everyone in the world is offering up their predictions for the Big Game, including the Madden-makers at EA Sports. With all the NFL Wild Card nonsense finally sorted out, the world is now separated into two categories: Those who have a team to root for, and those who don't. (As a Giants fan, the Sports Gamer's season couldn't have ended worse for me. Wah. Oh well. I can always re-watch the 2008 Super Bowl…)
I would describe the overall experience of playing this game as gripping. Navigating the turns was very realistic, and when my car hit gravel, I could actually feel the rocks hitting the undercarriage and the tires. The online rankings used in the game are easy to follow. There are 27 Master Badges and 341 Minor Badges available, which are more than I expected. Xbox Live has two game modes: Driver Duel and Versus. Both are very fun. More »
