In February, the International Olympic Committee voted to eliminate wrestling as an Olympic sort beginning in 2020. The decision caused quite an uproar. Wrestling is one of the world's oldest sports — it was part of the first ancient Olympic Games in 708 B.C. and was included in the first modern Games in 1896 — and in the U.S. alone more than 270,000 high school students wrestle. The IOC, however, said that it wanted to keep the Games “relevant to sports fans of all generations.” In 2016, golf and rugby will be new Olympic sports. What do you think? Do you think wrestling should be part of the Games?
