Two weeks ago I went to Notre Dame, the home of the Fighting Irish, my first time visiting a college. The campus was wonderful, filled with so many great attractions. When I entered the first thing I saw was Notre Dame Stadium, the home of Notre Dame’s football team.

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) was founded in 2005 and debuted in 2006 as a baseball version of the FIFA World Cup. Despite the existence of both Olympic Baseball and the Baseball World Cup when the WBC began (neither of which still exists), the WBC was able to survive and now is the world’s premier international baseball tournament.

It’s that time of the year again. Bets are made, brackets are set, and there are predictions everywhere. ESPN goes on and on and on about it for the whole month. Celebrities throw in their ideas. It’s a whole whirlwind of statistics and predictions that won’t end until April 9. Yes sir (or ma’am), you guessed it right: It’s NCAA tournament time!

When I heard the lineup was out for the March 2013 third annual Monster Jam at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York, there was one name I was looking for: Joe Sylvester driving Bad Habit. Joe beat the Guinness Book World Record for the longest jump with a 10,000-pound Monster Truck in 2010, by jumping 208 feet. He is on his way to the Monster Jam 2013 World Finals in Las Vegas this month after qualifying for the Young Guns Shootout. More »

DeAndre Jordan's vicious slam dunk over Brandon Knight last night got us thinking about some of the other great moments in recent league history when one guy absolutely posterizes another.

Jordan's teammate Blake Griffin definitely made the list. So did Vince Carter, of course. And we reached a little further back to unearth some Shawn Kemp, Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal classics. Here's a tip for all defenders out there, if you see these guys barreling down the lane toward you: run! Duck! Take cover! You're going to end up on some poster on some kid's wall for the next ten years if you're not careful!

We've compiled some our favorite power slams from the past few decades for you to watch. Let us know in the comments which jams you'd include on our list! More »

The call it Lob City for a reason. With about four minutes left in the second quarter of last night's LA Clippers-Detroit Pistons game, Chris Paul dribbled to the wing, spotted DeAndre Jordan streaking down the lane and lobbed a perfect pass to Jordan as he skyed to the hoop. Brandon Knight made the mistake of getting in the way. More »

When SI Kids offered me the opportunity to spend a day with the Harlem Globetrotters, I was very excited. I had seen videos of the Globetrotters, but had never been to see them in person.

To start the day off, I arrived at the team’s hotel. I joined TNT and Big Easy for breakfast. During the meal, we discussed football and basketball, their lives outside of basketball, and how being a Globetrotter has changed their lives.
