This weekend the best football players in the country take the field to show the nation what they've got. No, I don't mean the start of the NFL playoffs, though we're looking forward to that, for sure. On Saturday at 1 pm ET, before the NFL Playoffs kickoff, the nation's top High Schoolers will head down to San Antonio to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Adidas gave us a sneak preview of what the new uniforms will look like.
On the pants, compression base layer and numbers, you'll see a subtle camouflage print that we think is pretty cool. The unis and numbers on them are made with light-weight material that makes them weight 30 percent less than the average football jersey. Then on their feet, the players will have the adizero 5-Star 2.0s, which at 6.7 ounces may be the lightest football cleats out there.
In those jerseys there will be football's stars of tomorrow. While many players have already committed to their universities, a few will make their announcement live on air at the game. The 6-4, 225 athletic linebacker, Mike Mitchell from Plano, Texas will pick between Ohio State, Oregon and Texas A&M. Tony Stevens, a 6-4 175-lb wide receiver from Florida will decide whether he'll go to Texas A&M, Ohio State or Florida State. More »

No, what I’m going to talk about is the play-calling. Because it’s the most exciting breakthrough Madden has had in… well, maybe ever. You read that right: The new play-calling system is AWESOME.
