NCAA Football Power Rankings — Week 14

ncaa power rankings week 14 alabama

Another crazy regular season is almost over, but we still don’t know which teams will separate themselves as the best in the nation. With conference championships still up for grabs, the last weeks of the season will be incredibly important for several teams.

Arizona’s major upset of Oregon continued to change the national landscape, and a Ducks team that was recently competing for a national championship is now out of the top 10. That’s just another reminder that anything can happen in college football.

It's Thanksgiving in America, and that means family, turkey, and football! But before we get to this year's gridiron feast, let's all take a moment to remember one of the most legendary plays in Thanksgiving football history.

It was Thanksgiving 2012. The New York Jets vs. the New England Patriots. It's the second quarter and the Jets are down 14-0. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is trying to get his team back on track when it happened. The Buttfumble. Sanchez took the snap, the play collapsed, and, what happened next immedately became the stuff of legend.

NFL Power Rankings — Week 13

nfl power rankings week thirteen seattle seahawks

New England’s win over Denver changed the look of the power rankings. Seattle and New Orleans are now the top teams, while Denver and Kansas City - which lost its second consecutive game - both fell. As the top and middle sections of the rankings change, we’ll get a better idea of who will fill the playoff spots in each conference.

Right now things are still wide open, which means we’ll probably see a lot more movement as the regular season nears its end.

Tell us where you think your team should be ranked in the comments!

In the November issue of Sports Illustrated Kids, there’s an illustration that imagines current sports legends such as Stephen Curry, Miguel Cabrera, the Manning brothers, and Brittney Griner sitting down at a Thanksgiving meal. Now imagine Yogi Berra calling together a dinner between Yankees legends, past and present, such as Derek Jeter, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Elston Howard, and Lou Gehrig. That would be pretty cool! And that’s exactly what happens in Eric Simpson’s play Bronx Bombers.

nhl power rankings week eight chicago blackhawks

The West is the NHL's power center right now, with eight of the top 10 teams in this week's Power Rankings coming from that conference. The Ducks and Sharks are looking to take control of the Pacific Division, while Chicago and St. Louis are 1-2 in the Central. But what's happening in the East? The Bruins are back to their stingy best, while the Penguins are struggling to stay on track. The Capitals, Rangers, and Flyers have all found their footing, but the Metropolitan Division remains the weakest in the league.

Two months into the 2013-14 season, and it looks more and more likely that this year's Stanley Cup champion will come out of the West. There's still a lot of hockey to play, and if hockey fans know anything it's that the NHL is an unpredicitable league!

Check out this week's NHL Power Rankings and tell us in the comments section where you think your team should be ranked!
