Why are the playoffs so exciting? Because anything can happen, for one. And it's a chance for a sport's best players to show off what makes them so great. Which is exactly what Kevin Durant did last night.
In Game 2 of the Thunder's opening round series against the Grizzlies, OKC found itself down five, 98-93, with 13 seconds left on the clock. The Thunder drive into the Memphis zone and Russell Westbrook kicks it out to Durant, who set up shop in the left corner. And then:
Talk about a clutch shot! Durant would hit a free throw to make it a four-point play — one of the best in recent memory. It also helped force overtime, where the Thunder ultimately lost, 111-105. The series now moves to Memphis tied, 1-1. The Grizzlies are playing the Thunder hard, but something tells me OKC is going to feed off Durant's heroics to take control of this series.
