Whenever the NHL plays a game outside, fans know to expect that teams will wear special jerseys when they hit the rink. And the inaugural Stadium Series is no different. What is different, though, is that it's not a heritage game — that is, the teams won't be wearing throwbacks like they do in the Winter and Heritage Classics. So what will these other outdoor game sweaters look like? Today, the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings gave us our first look.

(Update: The Islanders were actually first out of the gate, debuting their Stadium Series sweaters on Nov. 27.)

The Ducks and Kings play the first Stadium Series game in the frozen tundra of Los Angeles on January 25, 2014. (The average high in LA in January is 68 degrees!) When they do, they're jerseys will look, well, a lot like they're normal sweaters. The logos are a lot bigger than normal, and it's part of the "Chrome Series" of crests created for the Stadium Series. But the color schemes are about the same — the Kings, though, will be the first NHL team to wear a gray color pattern on the ice.
