On Wednesday, Reebok announced that they would be re-releasing the Question shoe in the white/blue colorway on October 5. Since the shoe was originally released during Allen Iverson's NBA rookie season in 1996-97 (before most SI Kids readers were born), a brief history lesson may be required here. First, there was a basketball player named Allen Iverson.

He went to Georgetown University and was nicknamed the Answer. When he turned pro with the Philadelphia 76ers, Reebok released his signature shoe and called it the Question. Then the rookie Iverson wore the shoes and played against veteran NBA legend Michael Jordan. A.I. proceeded to unleash a wicked crossover (see the video below) that froze M.J. (something that was just not done in those days) and in so doing announced to the world that he was for real.

Now for $125, you can wear those shoes. It will, however, cost a lot more to develop a cross over like Iverson's.
