If you had Darren McFadden in your lineup Week 1, you were probably bummed out when you looked at his rushing total from Monday night: a measly 32 yards. But in the end, McFadden had a decent (but not great) Week 1. How?
All those receiving yards! McFadden caught a whopping 13 passes for 86 yards, giving him 118 yards from scrimmage on the game.
Fantasy owners often overlook the value in running backs who catch a lot of passes. Some of them are great backs who get even greater, guys like Ray Rice, Arian Foster and LeSean McCoy. But then there are guys who are just average runners who become decent fantasy options because of their receiving yards. Guys like Reggie Bush (46 receiving yards in Week 1), Darren Sproles (35 receiving yards and a TD catch), and Kevin Smith (29 receiving yards and a TD catch). Don't overlook them when you're picking your lineup!
