In his 19 seasons in the Majors, two-time AL MVP Frank Thomas cranked 521 home runs while playing for the Chicago White Sox, Oakland A's and Toronto Blue Jays. Now that the man they called Big Hurt is done terrorizing pitchers, Thomas is the official Topps baseball card spokesman and he's helping the company promote their 60th diamond anniversary. Clearly, Thomas knows his way around the baseball world, but can he handle our new segment, 10 Questions? Keep reading to find out.

What time is your alarm set for?

When I played baseball, in Spring Training, 5:55. It was all about business. Now, somewhere around 9, 9:30.

Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry ice cream?

Vanilla.

What was your childhood nickname?

Boomer. My high school baseball coach gave it to me for hitting the ball so far.

If you weren't an athlete, what would you want to do?

Probably coach. All sports. Other than baseball, football was my favorite.

Why do you wear the jersey number that you do?

In high school I was #3 in football and in baseball I was #5. So I combined them.

What is your favorite city to compete in?

New York. It was always such a thrill because the fans were always rowdy. They were always into the ball game and made a lot of noise.

What do you do on your days off?

I try to relax and watch a lot of TV and kick it around the house. All types of sports shows. And I like to watch a lot of movies on HBO.

Who is the greatest athlete of all time?

Bo Jackson.

Who is your best friend in sports?

That’s a loaded question. I can’t answer that one. I have too many of them.

What is the last item you purchased?

This hotel room I’m sitting in right now. [Laughs] I got a suite.
