The top two spots in my rankings stayed the same, but there was lots of movement elsewhere on the board. Click here to see where your favorite team ranks!

NBA Power Rankings

1San Antonio Spurs
Last Week: 1
The Spurs have quietly raced off to one of the best starts in NBA history. A healthy Manu Ginobili is a huge reason for their success.
2Boston Celtics
Last Week: 2
With veterans such as Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett, the Celtics have no shortage of players who can make clutch plays.
3Los Angeles Lakers
Last Week: 6
With so much talk about the Lakers' struggles this season, it's easy to overlook the fact that L.A. still has the third-best record in the NBA.
4Miami Heat
Last Week: 3
Miami has had to deal with injuries to key players, with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh both missing time. Wade should return this week, but Bosh's situation is uncertain.
5Chicago Bulls
Last Week: 5
Derrick Rose has been the NBA's MVP of the first half of the season for leading the Bulls to the top of the Central Division despite injuries to Carlos Boozer and Joakim Noah.
6New Orleans Hornets
Last Week: 13
The hottest team in the NBA has won 10 straight games. Credit their defense, which allows opponents just 91.2 points per game.
7Orlando Magic
Last Week: 7
The Magic¹s recent trades have opened space in the lineup for young big man Ryan Anderson. He has taken advantage of the playing time, reaching double digits in scoring in 13 of his past 14 games.
8Oklahoma City Thunder
Last Week: 9
The Thunder had a close call in a one-point win over lowly Minnesota on Wednesday. Kevin Durant led the way with 47 points.
9Dallas Mavericks
Last Week: 4
With superstar Dirk Nowitzki out with a sprained right knee, the Mavs struggled the past few weeks. Look for the team to get back on track with Dirk now back in the lineup.
10Atlanta Hawks
Last Week: 8
Atlanta has been going about its business quietly. The Hawks are one of the East¹s best teams, but they¹re not considered title-contenders.
11Denver Nuggets
Last Week: 12
As the trade rumors continue to swirl, Carmelo Anthony has turned up his scoring. He has scored at least 35 points in two of his past three games.
12Utah Jazz
Last Week: 10
Utah has lost six games in a row. Even Deron Williams¹ 39 points couldn¹t steer the team to a win over the Spurs on Wednesday.
13Portland Trail Blazers
Last Week: 14
LaMarcus Aldridge is having an All-Star-worthy season. The 25-year-old is averaging a career high 21.8 points per game in his fifth NBA season.
14New York Knicks
Last Week: 11
The Knicks stopped a six game slide with a home win over the Wizards on Tuesday. The win was crucial because they have another tough slate of games coming up: Miami, Atlanta, and Dallas.
15Memphis Grizzlies
Last Week: 16
Zach Randolph is on pace to average at least 20 points and 10 rebounds for the third straight season and fifth time in his career.
16Houston Rockets
Last Week: 15
He¹s not as dominant as Yao Ming, but big man Luis Scola is quietly having a stellar season (19.0 points, 8.3 rebounds per game).
17Phoenix Suns
Last Week: 17
With 105.8 points per game, the Suns have a high-powered offense, as usual. But without Amar¹e Stoudemire to be an inside threat, Phoenix has not been able to seal close games.
18Philadelphia 76ers
Last Week: 20
Elton Brand isn¹t putting up big numbers (14.9 ppg), but just having an inside threat like him has helped put the Sixers in good position to make the playoffs.
19Golden State Warriors
Last Week: 18
Monta Ellis is averaging more than 25 points a game for the second straight season. Before a three-game slide this week, Golden State was inching closer to .500.
20Los Angeles Clippers
Last Week: 23
Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon are a strong duo, but Baron Davis needs to step up his game in the second half of the season.
21Charlotte Bobcats
Last Week: 24
The Bobcats need better play from Gerald Wallace. His 15.9 points per game is his lowest scoring average in five seasons.
22Milwaukee Bucks
Last Week: 21
The Bucks can¹t put the ball in the bucket. They rank last in the NBA with 91.2 points per game.
23Indiana Pacers
Last Week: 19
After an excellent start to the season, center Roy Hibbert has been slumping. Indiana needs its big man to step up in order for the team to make a push for a playoff spot.
24Detroit Pistons
Last Week: 25
With very little scoring in the paint, the Pistons aren¹t going anywhere this season. They need to acquire a skilled big man.
25New Jersey Nets
Last Week: 26
Things are looking up for the Nets after a 4-1 homestand. Their players should loosen up now that the team is no longer pursuing Carmelo Anthony.
26Washington Wizards
Last Week: 29
The Wizards still stink on the road (0-21), but they've had some impressive wins at home over Boston and Utah. Nick Young has been a bright spot.
27Toronto Raptors
Last Week: 22
A nine-game losing streak has the Raptors in the Atlantic Division cellar. Toronto needs to get Andrea Bargnani some help. Fast.
28Minnesota Timberwolves
Last Week: 28
The young T-Wolves are making progress. They lost two close games to the Thunder and Rockets this week.
29Sacramento Kings
Last Week: 29
After a slow start to the season Tyreke Evans is starting to play better. But the Kings have still lost five of six games.
30Cleveland Cavaliers
Last Week: 30
Eighteen straight losses for the Cavs. Ouch. The second half of the season will be all about trying to develop young players such as J.J. Hickson and Ramon Sessions.
