You're in the pocket, about to unleash a key third-down pass. Who do you want making the catch? In other words:

Who is the best receiver in the NFL?

Read on for the best answers, and scroll to the bottom of the page to answer the next Question of the Week!...

I would say Andre Johnson, even though he had a lung contusion he can still put up big numbers.
-BearKing

It’s not the popular choice, but there’s no question it’s MARQUES COLSTON!
-BaseballSlugger201

If I could have any one receiver in the NFL, I would pick Reggie Wayne. The dude is beast. He would be a number one receiver on almost any team.
-BasketballMajor1, Indiana

I would choose Larry Fitzgerald or Reggie Wayne because the QB can throw the ball up and they can make an amazing catch!
-AwesomeAnimal1209, Virginia

The best WR has got to be Vincent Jackson. Do you see his stats? Seven TDs already, 722 yards in only 42 catches, 90.3 yards per game. He is one heck of a receiver.
-AwesomeBrother84, New Jersey

I'm going to have to say Randy Moss because he's fast, has good hands, and always knows where to go.
-SafetyScorer, Ohio

I think that the best receiver is Steve Smith of the New York Giants. He can get first downs, score touchdowns, and is a huge threat to successful cornerbacks and safeties like Troy Polamalu and Champ Bailey. His ability to work it hard in clutch situations stands out above teammates Brandon Jacobs and Mario Manningham.
-Ashane, California

Santonio Holmes he is awesome in crunch time. Example: last year in the SUPER BOWL! Great catch, bravo!
-BasketballForward36, Nebraska

If this were last year, definitely Larry Fitzgerald. I'm going to say Donald Driver because of his speed and his ability to catch a badly thrown ball in good coverage. Two games this year he's had a one-handed catch with his right arm being held and catching with his left, which is not his strong hand. Against the Rams he caught it pinned to his helmet.
-Jacob, Wisconsin

I think it is Brandon Marshall. He always makes the big plays.
-Dwain, Louisiana

I think the best receiver is Hines Ward from the Steelers. He will make every catch that is thrown to him.
-FootballAce704, New Jersey

Randy Moss. Kudos to Steve Smith (Carolina) and Larry Fitzgerald, but Moss is having a much better year.
-FootballQuarterback291, Hawaii

All receivers have their strengths. Santana Moss for example, is not always open because of his small size, but when he catches it, he can burn you because he has great speed and better instincts. But as a rookie quarterback, I would want a bigger guy who runs good routes and can catch whatever I throw at him. That's why Larry Fitzgerald would be my first choice.
-Joel, Pennsylvania

It's Andre Johnson. He's leading the league in receiving yards, third in catches of over 40 yards, and fifth in yards per game. If anyone could compete with him I'd say Vincent Jackson, actually. It's close but I say Johnson edges out Jackson.
-Isaac, Minnesota

Go deep, Larry Fitzgerald!
-BearFootball55

Percy Harvin hands down! He is athletic, a speed demon, and he is a just a well-rounded WR.
-Alex, Wisconsin

Larry Fitzgerald. He broke like five playoff records that aren't gonna be broken for a long, long time.
-Justin, Missouri

I would love to throw to Donald Driver. He has the best hands in the game. He seems to always make the play on third down when the Packers are driving. He can make the play deep or beat you underneath. Driver is the best WR.
-BlueBunny12, California

There are so many great candidates like Steve Smith, Chad Ochocinco or Santana Moss, but the NF’Ls true best receiver is the other Moss, Randy Moss. He wins the close race because of his tendency to make amazing catches.
-Adam, Canada

Jeez, this is a tough one. I like Randy Moss’s big-play ability, but I think he shies from contact in the middle of the field too often. And I love how physical Larry Fitzgerald is. But I’m giving the ever-so-slightest edge to Andre Johnson. He’s so tough over the middle of the field, and he has the ability to fight through a tackle or two after the catch. I think he’s the most complete receiver in the game right now.
-The Wiz
