Houston Rocks! I had a great time all weekend at the All-Star events. It seemed like the whole city was decorated for the games. There was cool stuff to do all day long. Many events that I went to were at the arena called the Toyota Center. The arena is really big and boss music was playing all the time. Not only did I get to go to the great events but I got to meet and interview many of my basketball heroes!
February is black history month. This made me think about the impact that African-Americans have had on the sports world. One of the biggest impacts, in my opinion, was the Negro Leagues. In August 2011, I was lucky enough to go to Kansas City to see a Royals vs. Yankees game. What I did not know was the history of baseball in K.C. is more then just the Royals.More »

When the Los Angeles Dodgers drafted 18-year-old Clayton Kershaw with the seventh overall pick in the 2006 MLB Draft, everyone knew the Dodgers were getting a great baseball player. He had gone 13-0 with a 0.77 ERA his senior year at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. Well, the Baltimore Ravens are your 2013 champions of the world. But man, what a game that was. Now, if you didn’t watch it, here is a recap: The Ravens led going into halftime 21-6, and the first play of the second half was Jacoby Jones going for a 108-yard kickoff return. It was first a 109-yard return but they had changed it to 108. Anyway, after that a power outage happened with about 7:49 to go in the third quarter. More »
