Three Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks were in the running for Number 1 in our rankings. But all three came up short of the top spot. Read on to see who ranks first in our Top 10 Fantasy Football Quarterback Rankings...

1. Aaron Rodgers, Packers
Rodgers was second in the NFL in total yards (4,434 passing yards, 316 rushing yards) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (30 TDs, 7 INTs). So why is he now Number 1? Because the Packers’ play one of the NFL’s softest schedules when it comes to opposing pass defenses. He’s also one of the best running quartebacks in the NFL.

2. Drew Brees, Saints
Obviously, Brees isn’t far behind Rodgers. No one has thrown for more yards (9,457) or touchdowns (68) over the past two seasons. Though the fact that Brees and the Saints will now wear a “bulls-eye” as Super Bowl champs is slightly worrisome.

3. Peyton Manning, Colts
Manning should be right up there with Rodgers and Brees. He’s thrown for 4,000 yards or more in 10 of the past 11 seasons, and 30 or more touchdowns in three of the past four years.

4. Tom Brady, Patriots
Brady looked great, but not quite his old amazing self, in his first season back from a major knee injury. He should be healthier this season. If his favorite receiver Wes Welker proves he’s all the way back from his knee injury (we’re not so sure that will happen, though), Brady could end up Number 1 on this list.

5. Tony Romo, Cowboys
Romo has plenty of weapons, from breakout speedster Miles Austin and super rookie Dez Bryant at wide receiver, to Jason Witten, one of the best pass-catching tight ends in football. Romo is set up for a career year, but the Cowboys’ shaky offensive line has to give him enough protection. First-year starter Doug Free is set to start at left tackle, the most important spot on the o-line.

6. Matt Schaub, Texans
Schaub finally stayed healthy for a full season in 2009 and delivered huge statitstics. He led the NFL in passing yards (4,770) and should be up there again as he throws to superstar receiver Andre Johnson. The only thing standing in Schaub’s way is the risk of injury.

7. Jay Cutler, Bears
Cutler had a nightmarish first season in Chicago, throwing an NFL-worst 26 interceptions. He’ll have a chance to improve this season under new offensive coordinator Mike Martz. Martz was the brains behind the Rams’ “Greatest Show on Turf” offense of the late 90’s and early 2000’s. His teams always rank among the league leaders in passing yards.

8. Kevin Kolb, Eagles
Kolb takes over for Donovan McNabb in Philly. While he doesn’t have D-Nabb’s arm strength, Kolb is one of the most accurate passers in the NFL. And with receivers like DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin, who can take a short pass and turn it into a huge gain, Kolb has a chance to pile up big-time yardage.

9. Philip Rivers, Chargers
If the Chargers were at full strength, Rivers would be higher on this list. But top wide receiver Vincent Jackson and left tackle Marcus McNeill, the most important pass protector on the offensive line, are both threatening to hold out this season. It would make Rivers much less of a sure thing going into the year.

10. Carson Palmer, Bengals
His elbow should be a little healthier this year than it was last season, and the Bengals loaded up with weapons in the offseason. In addition to Chad Ochocinco, Palmer will now have Terrell Owens as a possession receiver and Antonio Bryant as another deep threat. With an improving running game led by Cedric Benson, teams won’t know how to stop this Cincy offense.

6. Tony Romo
7. Matt Schaub
8. Joe Flacco
9. Alex Smith

Sorry Rivers, your my 11, but the other QBs have more dangerous targets.

I agree with your standings ,but I think Tom Brady should be 1#.
Who is your favorite player???;)

3.Tony Romo
4.Tom Brady
5.Brett Farve
6.Joe Flacco
7.Keith Null
8.Phillip Rivers
9.Matt Flynn
10.Eli Manning

Personally I think Brady is better than Manning. He has Moss and a healthy Welker back. I also think that Brady and Brees are both better than Rodgers. Rodgers is a great QB and has an equally great reciever in Jennings. But Brady has an all star cast and is an AllPro QB. Brees is coming off a Super Bowl and completed about 70% of his passes last year. I am predicting that the 49ers will win the NFC West, and I think that along with that, Alex Smith will break out with targets like Michael Crabtree and Vernon Davis. He also has two great running backs to balance the offense with, so that they can keep the defense on their toes. I think that Westbrook will also have the ability to catch some passes. I think that Palmer should be ahead of Cutler and Kolb because this year he's got some great targets in Ochocinco, TO, Bryant, and Gresham. Again, his offense is balanced with Benson in the backfield. I read some comments and it seems some of you would like Favre in the top ten. I think that he is a legendary Qubes with some awesome teammates catching passes. Once again, he has a very balanced attack with Peterson, but he's 40. Despite his age, he should be a top ten contender

me and my dad were so unlucky taking Percy Harvin for fantasy football only 1-1 12yds. Brady is better than Manning but Brady isnt better than Rodgers I agree with Farve being in the top 10 as much as I hate him.

manning is better then brady

I really think that Brett Favre should be a top ten contender too. I think that he is doing incredible for his age. With Peterson, Rice, and Harvin, they have a complete offense. On defense, they have Jared Allen, and some quality cornerbacks. They should be Super Bowl contenders for the first time with Brett Favre. Harvin will become more reliable coming out of his rookie season, and Brett will be more comfortable with the whole offense. The Saints on the other hand, had more of a luck season. Yes they have Brees (A very great quarterback), Bush, Coltson, Porter, and Vilma, but I don't think they are good enough for the Vikings. Manning and the Colts should make it all the way to the AFC Championship game, but no further. They have Collie, Addai, Manning, Wayne, Clark, Freeney, and Mathis but they won't mak the Super Bowl. Now, for the Super Bowl WINNER... The New York Jets! No, they are not my favorite team. but when you look at the roster, here is what you have: Sanchez, Greene, Tomlinson, Mangold, Edwards, Holmes, Keller, Cromartie, Revis, and some other great players. They could very possibly win the Super Bowl this year. As for all the other teams, including my very favorite, the Kansas City Chiefs, good luck, because you'll sure need it! -KC IS AWESOME!

Drew Brees is better then all of dem ( who dat who dat saint gonna beat dem saint)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it doesn't matter if the receivers are good because the quaterback has to get the ball to them.
1.peyton manning
2.tom brady

Aaron Rodger's is the best QB in the game

that's only because favre has 19 pro seasons,
rodgers has 5.
and only 2 as a start because favre was still a packer.

Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in football for two reasons. 1. He watched and studied Favre for a number of years and learned from the sidelines. 2. After being a benchwarmer behind a legend Rodgers jumps out and is second in yardage last season. THATS WHY HE'S #1.

Sorry but who has more career yards??? Career Completions???? Who lost everytime they played against Favre and the Viknings. Yes Aaron Rodgers!

Aaron Rodgers?? OVERRATED! Come on yeah he can get yards but how many times did he get sacked against the Vikings??????

Here is a Fare list
1. Drew Brees
2. Peyton Manning
3. Aaron Rodgers
4. Tom Brady
5. Tony Romo

How is Aaron Rodgers that good????? Whoever has a decent fight fight back!

Hey! Only 2 quarterbacks have gotten 4,000+ passing yards in their 1st season as a starter... Kurt Warner and Aaron Rodgers! And only 2 quarterbacks have EVER gotten 4,000+ passing yards, 30+ passing touchdowns, 500+ rushing yards, and 5+ rushing touchdowns... Steve Young and Aaron Rodgers.
Notice how Rodgers is in these exclusive groups with formal Super Bowl MVPs, one a Hall of Famer, the other a lock.
One last fact, Rodgers is the only quarter back to throw for 4,000 yards each of his seasons as a starter so far.
You got to look at all the facts!

jammer, I wonder where your head's at. I'm even a bears fan and I would put rodgers second.

how many times Rodgers got sacked last year has nothing to do with how good he is. it was the o line who gave up all those sacks and they are improving they even got Bryan Bulaga in the draft. you watch Aaron Rodgers will live up to the #1 ranking this season.

Everything is good but Peyton Manning is way better than Drew Brees.

Aaron is overrated. But Peyton Manning is number 1

thats mest up Peyton Manning is number 1

32??????? Come on!!!!!!!! Rodgers isn't that bad!!! He isn't even overrated!!!
