It happens to every sports fan. You’re all pumped up for the biggest game of the weekend and then – BOOM! – out of nowhere, your family makes plans. Worse yet, those plans don’t involve sitting down on the couch in front of the TV.
There’s no time when this is more likely to happen then during March Madness. With back-to-back-to-back-to-back games from Thursday through Sunday of opening weekend, sooner or later you will get dragged away from the action kicking and screaming.
Luckily this year, FLO TV is swooping in to save the day. Keep reading to find out more and to see FLO TV's broadcasting schedule for the NCAA tournament.
FLO TV is a portable TV player that streams live TV. That’s right, instead of having to sit in your living room, you can now flip through your favorite channels on your handheld. And this year, thanks to a special deal with the NCAA, FLO TV’s portable TV player will let you watch live NCAA tournament action on the go!
Standard FLO TV service guarantees up to 26 tournament games (decided by a map CBS uses to determine percentage of the country watching) and also includes the two Final Four semifinal games and the championship game. If you have AT&T Mobile TV service with your FLO TV device, you can watch every tourney game! While it’s not the same as watching on a nice big flatscreen television, it beats the alternative, which is no hoops at all.
So how does it hold up? Very nicely. The portable FLO TV player is roughly the same size as an iPhone or iTouch and like those devices, features a touch-screen control panel. Just touch the screen to bring up the guide, then move your finger up or down on the screen to change the channels. You can either watch it with the volume on for everyone to hear, or plug in your headphones if you’re trying to watch the action without bothering those around you.
Either way, one thing is for sure: FLO TV will help you maintain your madness through the entire month of March this year.
